1. Who we are

NestFinder CUK is operated by a CUK student as a housing directory service. Our platform connects students with verified housing listings near The Cooperative University of Kenya.

2. What information we collect

When you create an account we collect:

• Your full name
• Your email address
• Your Safaricom phone number (for M-Pesa payments)
• Your password (stored securely — we never see it in plain text)

When you make a payment we collect:

• Your M-Pesa confirmation code
• The listing you paid to unlock
• The date and amount of payment

We do not collect your M-Pesa PIN, bank details, or any financial credentials.

3. How we use your information

• To create and manage your student account
• To verify M-Pesa payments and unlock caretaker contacts
• To send you payment confirmations
• To contact you about your account if needed
• To improve the platform

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. How we protect your data

Your account data is stored securely on Supabase (supabase.com), a trusted database platform with industry-standard encryption. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

5. M-Pesa payments

Payments of Ksh 250 are made directly via M-Pesa to the NestFinder CUK admin number (0704 285 315). We do not process card payments. We do not store your M-Pesa PIN or any banking credentials. Your M-Pesa confirmation code is only used to verify that payment was made.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use minimal cookies only to keep you signed in to your account. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. We do not track you across other websites.

7. Your rights

• You can delete your account at any time by contacting us on WhatsApp
• You can request a copy of your data
• You can ask us to delete all your personal information

8. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy we will notify users via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
